The plot covers an area of 80 acres and is located on the riverbank in the Moscow region.
The plot is situated in an area with a temperate continental climate: snowy winters and warm, humid summers. These features of the climatic situation in the area where the future garden will be located required a careful approach to the selection of plants, as well as to structural and engineering solutions, and these challenges were successfully addressed at all stages of the design process.
The main objective of the project is to create a comfortable space in which nature and architecture come together to form a unique ensemble.
The owner received a modern and cozy garden for the whole family to relax in, combining ethnic motifs of Russian architecture in a modern interpretation, comfortable and ergonomic areas for sports activities, and private corners for уединённый relaxation and contact with nature.
This project for an individual garden is an excellent example of how the spaciousness of the plot is a direct reflection of the breadth of the Russian soul of its owner.
An incredible combination of character, ideas, and the desire to get the best architectural, engineering, structural, and dendrological solutions makes it possible to realize the most daring wishes and afford the necessary functionality for such a daily routine as engaging in a favorite sport.
The tennis court is designed in accordance with the standards of the International Tennis Federation (ITF). The dimensions of the sports facility are the same for all official competitions, including amateur matches and Grand Slam tournaments.
The central compositional axis of the garden runs along the cascading water feature is one of the picturesque vantage points. The height and number of cascades, steps, overflows, and basins are dictated by the existing terrain. Thanks to the system of steps and platforms along the walking route around the water feature, the garden owner and his guests can comfortably navigate the elevation differences on the plot, moving from higher points to lower ones. Along the way, they will certainly enjoy the soft sounds of water gurgling and notice the bright backs of Japanese koi carp the inhabitants of the upper basins of the water feature.
Preserving the existing fragment of mixed forest in the central climatic zone on the Owner’s plot is one of the project’s important tasks. Here, coniferous and deciduous tree species grow together, reflecting the memory of the area and conveying its value and history. It is precisely for this reason that the space has acquired the status of an ecological quiet zone an untouched little forest.
